Từ Ukraine nhớ Vietnam
Từ Ukraine nhớ Vietnam
Máu nhuộm chiến bào
Tấm lòng quật khởi
Nước non một mảnh
Một lá cờ bay
Tay ôm lòng đất
Mắt lệ tuôn rơi
Sáng này anh đi
Sáng này em đi
Nhìn nhau không nói
Trái tim cùng đau
Mùa đông áo não
Mẹ hiền bên song
Tiển con im lặng
Hãy đi hãy đi
Non nước kêu gào
Người con chí khí
Non sông một mảnh
Nhớ những anh hùng
Vì nước hy sinh!
Vietnam một thuở
Ukraine hôm nay
Chim trong khói lửa
Tay còn vương cao
Ngọn cờ chính nghĩa
Ngọn cờ tự do

Night with my love
Night with my love
Sleep, my love, a nightful sleep
Let a sight of war touch not of your dream
What an enduring life, you’ve lived through in the
jungle’s deep
Now, we are together – even our time is brief
An image of you – of love and sorrow, I’ve always kept
Which edged my
mind, and sweeten my lips
But you, a simple lullaby, and a loving smile
still a yearning that you’ve missed
Sleep, my love, sleep
Here I sing a sweet song
Just for you,
I’ve kept it so long
In your arms, hidden a tearful face
What war has given?
what has it taken?
and that happiness has forsaken us
It left the coarseness in your heart,
the hard lines edged your forehead
the scars that ploughed deep,
an imprinted pain on your chest
Sleep, tonight, my love, sleep!
My deepest of sorrow, and my sweetest of love
Here, I will sing it for you
in my arms, go sleep!
Through the window, a shaded moonlight
shinning on your face
the reality of war - which isn’t too far,
Is it a distance of our fate?
A short distance of our fate?
In my arms, gently, my soldier, go to sleep!
With frail hands, I will shade you from those flares
Which bloom as a nightmare in the naked night
War! war, please stop there!
Do not come
near
Do not cloud his eyes!
Do not touch his life!
Sweetheart, I am holding you tight,
You, a brave soldier of mine
I’m holding you back
from this war and all wounds war makes
even for just tonight, one night, I am holding you
back!
Sleep, darling, sleep tight!
even for just tonight!
be safe by my side.

Đêm
Đêm
Oh Night, Bring
back the Sun!
When the battles’ field fire was flared up
It shook
the earth and awaken the night
When all of sorrows and darkness suddenly entwined
the dark magic played
its tricks
Shone in red,
blue, and silvery flash
like the
shinning eyes of thousand black cats
with shrieking voice, calling for lost loved ones
As shadows of the souls wandered in the dark
Lost, for
found no place to rest!
when the sun felt into the cold slumber of darkness
Shrivering embraced our hearts
and tighten our breaths!
We heard the murmurs of lovers’ sadness
of fear and of desperation
of fear for the separation!
Night, I heard the crying
my country! It was
sobbing in the dark
but what I prayed for
in the burning mask
of a faltered life
where the game of peace and war played to last
yet, in my arm, a little angel curved gently and fallen into
his sleep!
Oh Night, won’t you go away
Darkness, fallen sky, and burning sky,
be fading away! Fade away….
Night! bring back the
Light
To the EARTH and for my Child
and to Vietnam, my beloved country
Bring back her LIGHT!
